"The thing about books is that they help you to imagine a life bigger and better than you could ever dream of."
The Lost Bookshop is a historical fiction that covers important issues like the struggles of being an independent woman in the late 1800s-1900s with a hint of magical realism. It's crazy how women were treated and how little control they had over their own lives.
This is not my usual genre and I am glad I picked it up, thanks to my book club. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!

I genuinely loved everything about this book. It is clever, wondrous, tragic, hopeful, passionate & just so many things.
I was on a constant ride of highs and lows, cried, laughed, blushed, gasped and celebrated.
The multiple POV and time line are done wonderfully and easy to follow.
The characters are wonderful and full and go through so much, good and bad.
The Lost Bookshop is a must for all lovers of reading and magic, with some wonder literary history featured.
This book is an instant re-read for me and 100% recommend as many people as possible experience the journey that Evie Woods has so wonderfully put on paper.
