Not what I was expecting and was definitely reflective and informative, a lot of statistics shared. I did become distinctly aware that this writing was coming from an American cis white woman’s perspective and it failed to take into account some women’s perspectives outside of that point of view, but an important read nonetheless.

Maybe I'm just in the wrong place/too late for this one but it didn't take long for me to see why there was a significant publication of BIPOC-focused feminism books since this came out. Just felt like a book lacking nuance, and relying on shock-factor. There's no need to just list every incident of sexual violence as a way of convincing the reader that your premise is legitimate. I'm good.
