Neverwake was an excellent conclusion to Dreamfall in my opinion. I didn't actually find the dreams too repetitive in this book because of all the added mystery the teens were uncovering. I still think Jaime's perspective was genuis and made the book have more depth. The conclusion was nicely wrapped up and I was pretty satisfied with it.

This was an enjoyable book. It wasn’t scary, but it did build up an anxious atmosphere. I liked that there were many different references to horror movies in the nightmares, it was a fun touch. The characters were alright, if a bit flat. I also did not like that Jaime was not only not listened to, but disregarded the doctors. I feel like the doctors could have done better and at least entertained Jaime’s suggestions, even if only to humor him. Things were wrapped up a little too easy. Overall it was an enjoyable book.

I think it would have been better if this series had been one longer book instead of two. I found the nightmares seemed to drag on, and honestly they were the same thing every time- it was repetitive and just got boring after a while. Additionally, while in the first book it felt like I was figuring things out along with the characters, in this one it just felt like there was no new information, just 200 pages of waiting for them to catch on.

Second in the series. This book is truly your worst nightmare. As the dreamers continue to share horrific dreams, their waiting time in the VOID gets shorter and shorter, so the nightmares come more frequently and last longer. Jamie, the med student who is watching as the dreamers come closer and closer to death, tries to figure out a way to get through to the scientists that all isn't as it seems and they must come up with a plan before more dreamers die.

This book contains some swearing including the F bomb, gory scenes and situations, parental abuse and violence. It is a teen series, but readers should be aware of these things going in.
