I liked the concept of this book more than the execution. It just felt like the pacing was off. The first half of the book is before his accident, which felt like too long. Then the resolution is at like 90% and it's very neatly cleaned up. I wanted a little more from the story.

yes, i wish the story had been better explained. yes, luca's memory loss made no sense at all.

but isabella was the best mafia woman, she proved herself to be strong and fierce when everyone, including me, doubted her, and i love her for that. and luca had a such huge character development after his memory loss. it kind of made me liked him, i even wished we got more backstory.

this book surprised me in the best way, and despite the finger thing, it had become one of my favorites.
