A quick read. My first book by Lisa Gardner and I am definitely wanting to read more. It was more than just a mystery novel. It felt like a fully developed story and the twists/turns that the book takes were well executed.

immmmm sooooo bored.
why do i read thrillers. why why why. i want to love them, i do love them, but they’re disappointing 95 percent of the time. no exception here.

flat characters, subpar tropes, sad sack alcoholic with heartbreak in her past who pauses every few pages to acknowledge her privilege. yaaaawn.

i could have stuck with it and when i was younger i probably should have. but i’m putting more and more books down and embracing the motto life is too short for bad books.

oh my goodness - I can't wait until the next book of the series. This was a thriller and a detective mystery. It was about a woman who finds people that others have given up on finding. The characters were so well defined you could have been watching a movie of the book. There weren't "oh brother" moments but it still had the feel of a Jack Reacher story. There was good conflict that kept you interested in the side stories. And enough resolution in the side stories but not complete - so you are interested in reading the next book in the series. Disappointed I have to wait until September 2022 before the next one comes out.

I love Frankie Elkins' character! This is the first in a currently 2 book series. I truly hope there are more to come in the future. These books sweep you in until you feel you are on the scene and urgently trying to unravel the clues before the time runs out.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE A TYPICAL THRILLER. I WAS SO WRONG! HOWEVER, THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO THIS BEAUTIFUL BOOK AND THE CHARACTERS THAT IS FOLLOWS.

THE STORY FOLLOWS FRANKIE, A RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC, AS SHE TRIES TO FIND A MISSING GIRL. SHE HAS NO CONNECTION TO THE GIRL. I ADMIRED HER SO MUCH! SHE WAS SO BRAVE AND NEVER GAVE UP. EVEN THOUGH THIS BOOK IS LONGER, IT HELD MY ATTENTION AND WAS A TRUE PAGE TURNER.
