Wow, this book. TORE ME TO SHREDS! 
This book perfectly fit into the category of books that are sort of slice of life books that I LOVE! 
"Remarkably Bright Creatures" by Shelby Van Pelt, "Convenience Store Woman" by Sayaka Murata, "Circe" by Madeline Miller, "The Scent Keeper's Daughter" by Erica Bauermeister
All these books I would understand why someone else would find them boring. But the writing & compelling nature of humans make them favorites of mine

I am so glad I took the time to read this, and I am kind of sad that I won't get to experience it for the first time again.

This is the story of Sam and Sadie, who meet in hospital as kids and start playing games together. Eventually they decide to start making games together.

This is the story about the games they make, but more importantly their lives together and apart. 

The characters that Zevin has created feel so realistic and like they are actual people and the games she has made are incredible - I would absolutely love to play one of them for myself (and will just have to do with playing Stardew Valley for now)

This book is hyped up a lot, but I would recommend picking this one up, even if you think it might be overhyped. I am so glad I finally read this.

It took me so long to read this book. Not the book’s fault I think I was just going through a lot with work and personal stuff. 

It was a good book. I liked the complexity of the characters, the reflections on their life through the lens of race, ethnicity, disability, trauma etc. I liked the reflections on our human life vs. the infinitely repeatable video game lives. Just the exploration of designing and playing video games was lovely as someone that is a fan of many games. I love that it’s a deep partnership that isn’t necessarily a romantic relationship. 

I think I struggle with literary fiction at the best of times, but found this to be a little too slow even by literary fiction standards. Obviously, with the caveat that I also had a rough month while reading this - there were a few moments that felt like trauma included just for trauma’s sake. 

Maybe I’ll give it another go when I’m in a better headspace myself - but for now its a 3.75 for me.

As both a reader and a gamer, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow was everything I hoped for and more. It truly lives up to the hype and deserves every bit of recognition it's received. Gabrielle Zevin’s writing is nothing short of incredible. The way she crafts the characters’ growth over time is mesmerizing—so vivid and nuanced that I could actually see them aging and changing. I felt as though I was right there with them, watching their lives unfold, and that connection made it hard to turn the final page.

The book is filled with memorable quotes and beautiful moments that are both touching and profound. The emotional depth was stunning, and I found myself tearing up multiple times. By the end, I was emotional not because of any specific event, but because I had to say goodbye to characters I had grown with, and that was unexpectedly hard. Zevin’s writing made me feel like I had lived a part of their lives, and it's rare to find a story that captures that so well. This book is truly special, and I can easily imagine it being adapted into a movie or series because it played out so vividly in my mind.

If you're a lover of stories that make you feel deeply and immerse you in another world, this one is a must-read. It left a lasting impact on me, and I’m sure it will for many others too.
