So I read this series out of order, so even with all the spoilers for Delilah and Claire's relationship, I really liked how it began as a whole. It was cheesy yes, but the romance was very sweet.

The characters were developed nicely, their different problems were well written and are definitely relatable to some readers who have experienced the same things.

I like the fact this series is about women who are in their late twenties, it's a refreshing twist for the romance genre since some of the characters in this series talk about how they still don't know what they're doing with their lives sometimes.

Some problems with this book was the writing for the sex scenes weren't good at all. It does get better with the later books! But this one, made me cringe so much. I'm sorry, who uses "mound" and thinks that's sexy?! And I hate the trope "it was a bet". To start off a romance like that feels very lazy and cheapens the relationship.

Also there was a lack of diversity in this book. Sure there was a lot of good rep for the lgbtq community, but there was nothing else. One very minor black character and that's it. As someone who has now read the books, this does get better, but not by a lot.

Overall this was a good sapphic romance. All of the characters weren't one-dimensional, they all had some depth, the romance was very sweet and it's a good start to the already completed series.

It was good, got a little slow in some parts, then it felt like all the drama was shoved into the last 100 pages, great body positivity, it’s more borderline second chance love than enemies to lovers, it’s light on that trope, beautiful emotional spicy scenes.

This book was so fun and the dual POVs flowed together nicely. Plot progressed well and got me invested in the characters, definitely had the not wanting to put it down feeling. There were times were I audibly laughed out loud during the story and other times I felt giddy reading the characters story arcs. Overall, a great book :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this (audio) book! First of all I was really lured in by the cover art, because the characters both look absolutely gorgeous, and Delilah was very quickly growing on me. Partially because she's a photographer and I can relate to that quite a bit.

The story itself had me hooked almost instantly and it stayed that way. I really enjoyed the alternating POVs, which really made sense in this case and added a lot. All the characters have a distinct personality, no mary sues here!

There's some smut scenes that were incredibly good and I thoroughly enjoyed those too. The emotions came across so vividly, it was lovely <3 The narrator did a phenomenal job too!

I read Astrid Parker Doesn't Fall first and I believe the two FLs had cuter banter and chemistry. This book is still great quality writing, but often relies on tropes... So many tropes. (Enemies to lovers. Only one bed. The bet. Constant misunderstandings. The classic Hallmark big city girl meets old childhood crush/hot single parent in the small hometown. I'm probably missing some.)

I did enjoy this book, but I like the sequel better. I do like how all the characters are interconnected in this series. I love expanded universes.
