I wish there was so much more to series/world because it’s truly fascinating and I want to know as much as I can. I enjoyed this volume and was really surprised by the end but there were also many scenes that I think could have been a little different since they were hard to read/figure out what was happening.

I don't feel like I understood the impact of the ending well enough. This was a fine read, but too many things not explained for a big finale.

I loved this little series, and I wish that it were continued as an ongoing comic, or that there would be other miniseries for the other night creature types. Alas, it looks like this isn't to be, since this volume was published in 2010, and no more stories have yet been released. I guess there's not a great market for original English language manga...

This is a hidden gem of a series with several likeable characters and an interesting supernatural setting and world-building. It combines the best parts of a Buffy-esque or other network supernatural TV show with the cute and funny bits of a shojo high school manga. Chmakova's art and versatility are fantastic and whimsical, with great slice of life sequences as well as engaging action scenes.

This last volume was a little bit of a letdown because of the deus ex machina ending, but I have a feeling that this was because the series was truncated. :/

The ending felt super anti-climatic. Without spoilers, it just didn't give me a full ending for the series. I did enjoy the series, but it has the normal issue most graphic novels have.

Svetlana Chmakova is one of my favorite middle grade graphic novelists, and when I saw she had a YA series also, I jumped on it.
NIghtschool is a quadrilogy revolving around a school that hosts normal high school classes and students during the day, but at night, the classes and students are very different, and not a little dangerous. The fourth (and final) volume sees the Hunters getting closer to Alex, who they believe intentionally attacked 4 of their members, putting them into a comatose state. Alex and Ronee, meanwhile, are still trying to locate Sarah, a search that becomes even more desperate when someone else they both know suddenly disappears and seems forgotten by everyone except them.
Nightschool Vol 4 is an fantastic finale to an excellent series. I've read rumors that Ms. Chmakova may return to the world of The Nightschool, and I hope it's true, because I can't wait to immerse myself in this world again.

Honestly, this was probably the weakest installment in an otherwise great series. Granted, it's simply a story arc, which likely means more adventures to follow and perhaps an even larger plot to hold it all together. This particular volume seemed just a little bit too tidy and ultimately unmemorable. Still a fun, swift read. I'm interested to see if my teens are satisfied with this one, especially since they've been waiting so expectantly.
