I was expecting light and fluffy, but this one was a little more real than I bargained for...the ending is needed but by no means happy. It was actually a little depressing the whole way through, but weirdly addictive to read because of how it describes feelings of inadequacy and comparison in an artistic field. I found it slightly annoying to read a whole book of arrhythmic free-versiness, but it kinda worked. It definitely would not have had the same depressing affect without it. Overall more interesting than I thought.

I love all things dance, whether it's ballet, tap, hip-hop...if it's trippin the light fantastic then I love it but this story wasn't what I was expecting.

I thought the writing was beautiful and poetic in style but the story itself left me feeling sad and kind of depressed. It's hard when you follow a dream only to find out it's not at all what you expected or that you are not as good as you need to be in order to be the star. Sara was never going to be the prima ballerina that Lisette was but that's OK. I also wanted so much more from Remington but again, this turned out not to be the typical love story.

I couldn't help feeling like Sara was no more closer to knowing who she was at the story's end than she was at the start.

I usually do my own summaries, but it's a little harder with verse books. This is the third verse book I've read. I wanted to really like it, but I only that it was meh. Sarah and Remington should have known better to get involved with each other. She's only sixteen and mentions that she thinks he's about twenty-two. I didn't think Sarah was that likeable of a character, but I could somewhat see where she was coming from. I felt like she wanted to be validated and thought that dancing did that for her. I thought Remington was a sleazy character. I definitely wanted to smack him.

I think people that like verse books and/or dancing will like this. I'm trying to like verse books, but I didn't like this as much I would have liked

I had absolutely no clue this book was in verse when I grabbed it, and when I opened it up, I flipped through the pages to see if it stayed like that. It did. And it made the book so unique and amazing.

I though this book would remind me of Bunheads but it didn't. It was an entirely new story, with similar storyline in parts (just the ballet and training aspects), but Sara's experiences are very different that Hannah's. Sara falls for Remington,

This one was my middle favorite of the ballet trifecta. The verse writing has some gorgeous phrases and images. Sara also experiences love, romance, and sex, but the focus is always on the dancing. Most authentically emotional (feeling) of the three for me by far.

Very rarely does this happen, but I did not finish this book. The plot line was tired and while I like lyric stories this was boring and unimaginative
