Lance Cosain knows he is a halfling, half-human half-fae is the leader of The Wild Hunt Motorcycle Club . Not knowing his origin , he clashes with few of the bad characters and also learn about his past. The book is quite engrossing and is filled with funny and cunning characters, and the illustrations add more to the charm. It is a very engaging book and is fully action packed.

Interesting

This is the first by this author. The overall story itself was an interesting take on fae myths. I love fae books but this one has an added MC element in it. It was a quick read. Lance is a halfling and embarks on a journey that forces him to face his past. This story is one that will leave you wondering what will happen next.

Fairies, motorcycles, MC clubs, what do you get? An action packed story that is one of a kind and the best story in the fantasy realm I've read. I love fae and MC stories. Lance is half-human, half-fae and the head of Wild Hunt MC club. The adventures are wild and crazy starting with his old lady, Suzanne, disappearing to assassination attempts by family members. The emotions will flow all over the chart as you read the story. Wonderfully written characters that are not all tutu and wands. The struggles are real. Watch out for the road gremlins as you're reading....

Lance Cosain is half fae, his mother was fae and his father is human, they are not close, but they are still family, but Lance has other family, his MC family in the Wild Hunt of whom he is the Wind Walker, they are a group of Harley Davidson riding, leather wearing people, both human and fae alike and they live side by side in harmony with the local fae. The Dair na Scath is the High King of the Fae Realm in Underhill, he has been for a long time and he has a faithful and loyal court around him, but he has become corrupted by power and greed, so when some of his court betray him and leave, he cannot but be furious, however, when he is told that they are dead, he breaths a small sigh of relief, or at least he does for a time.

Lance is just trying to live his life with his lady and prepare for the Steel Horse Stampede, however, when his lady is late and nobody has heard from her, he knows something is wrong, so he does what he does best and goes to find her and see what has happened, however, when he gets there, it isn’t what he expected. The wind starts to blow up a storm followed by a column of darkness coalescing in the middle of the crossroads as a derisive voice throws insults and derisive comments towards Lance and his right hand man just before he reveals himself as a fae, but the most surprising thing is the team of redcaps who have someone in their grasp. Lance barely manages to control himself as he battles with the fae to leave his friend free to free the prisoner, however, although he injures the fae, Lance is brought down by the relentless attacks and his friend is suffering too, although what happens next nearly kills Lance, but allows him to push the fae back to his own realm.

When they have all recovered and have enough strength to return to their home, Lance has to have some difficult conversations, although he isn’t sure if he is getting all the information he needs, however, he has to make do, especially when he is told that more fae will come for him. It is when he is on his way home a few days later when he is attacked again, but this time by a gremlin which does more damage than he expects, however, again he manages to succeed in taming another opponent, but when he later receives a message from the High King of the Fae himself, Lance knows that he has to protect everything he loves now more than ever, but will he be able to defeat a full blood fae, or will his halfling limitations cause him to taste a defeat more painful than any other before? This is a fantastic blend of fantasy and MC romance which will have you on the edge of your seat throughout, as the action continues and the fae on opposite sides fight for both family and honour.

Hold on we are going for a ride.

This the first book in the Bad-Ass Faerie Tale book series. This is a motorcycle story with some magical characters in the storyline. I went on a motorcycle ride through this story with the characters. There were twists and turns which made it an exciting ride. The characters are fully developed and complex in nature. All Lance wants to do is live with his love, but that is not so easy. He has some obstacles and is in a race to find an ancient realm to sit on the throne as the king. I highly recommend this story to take the journey with Lance and see if it was worth the journey.

I enjoyed this story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story about a motorcycle club with a paranormal twist. The characters brought the story to life and are relatable. They pulled me into the story from the beginning. Lance is someone who just wants to spend life with his love but the king of the realm has something different in mind. Both are on a hunt for an ancient realm and a claim to the throne. What will happen between these two? I enjoyed all the characters and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

The Halfling’s Court is the first book in the Bad *** Faerie series by Danielle Ackley-McPhail. I love that it melds the fae with MC…. motorcycles, and an original take on ‘The Wild Hunt’- magic, fantasy, mayhem, drama, complex characters, and all the extra creative touches that I have come to expect from Ms. Ackley-McPhail’s stories.
I love that Ms. Ackley McPhail has such a wonderfully creative imagination, as her stories are nothing if not unique and original and this one is no exception.
I’m looking forward to seeing what she does next.

Thank you, Danielle Ackley-McPhail!

Danielle Ackley-McPhail’s The Halfling's Court (A Bad-Ass Faerie Tale Book 1) is a Fae MC a modern urban fantasy tale. Where Sons of Anarchy meets Lord of The Rings. He is half human and half fae and this guy is a great leader of an MC. He is on a journey to reconcile with a past he knows nothing about. Danielle pulls out all the stops to give us a mixed-up cast of fun characters with secrets and lies, trials and tribulations, danger and perils, good vs evil along the way. I would have liked to see this as a full novel and more depth in the characters but having said that it is an engaging read. Hang on and enjoy the ride.
