I never thought I’d replace St. Vincent, but Ransom may be my new favorite LK hero. Ethan and Garrett were perfect together! I appreciated their open communication - it really felt like a mature relationship.
Mary Jane Wells really brought these characters to life on audio.

Hmmm maybe this was more like 3.5 stars??? I felt like some parts in the beginning wasn’t necessarily to the storey, but maybe im just impatient and wanted the good stuff to appear faster. Finally halfway through the book the story got better! Which is why it’s 3.5 and not a 2.5 book

I really enjoyed Ransom and Garrett's relationship, and Ransom was a great love interest. As it often happens in contemporary HR, Garrett was a bit more forward then most Victorians were in terms of medicine. I'm glad her colleague reminded Garrett she needed to respect and not judge her patient's views if they didn't line up with her own. Garrett did become more likeable then I expected her to be, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Would recommend for Murdoch fans.

Ethan is not my favorite of Kleypas's MMCs, but Garrett is an excellent FMC.

This was a good one. The over all arc was pretty good, a little rushed in some places, but all around good. The characters are engaging, well formed, and they work together really well.
My favorite thing, that is ridiculous about this series, is that it's just the West Ravenal character hour. Every freaking book this guy is in it, and the book is the better for it, not gonna lie.
I found the author's note in the back very illuminating, and it was obvious in the beginning that Kleypas had done her homework, and I found the fact that she had named two characters after two real people to be neat.
