I honestly don't have many comments other than it was fine. The relationship didn't really draw me in but the plot of discovering things together was cute.

Where to Read: FUTEKIYA and the physical is published by SuBLime

*Original Review 5/22/2022*
THIS WAS SO GOOD. This book may have solidified Minta Suzumaru as a new fave mangaka.

I stupidly love this trope of the clueless, oblivious character that is blunt and speaks their mind. And the whole "I'll help you out" thing gets me every time. I also love that Minta based Himari on someone they previously dated. That's so funny.

I loved this from the start and I absolutely couldn't put it down. Himari and Gaku were so fucking cute together. Himari was my absolute favorite. I loved how pure and innocent he was, but so bold?? The way he spoke his mind and didn't understand things was very cute to me. I also loved that Gaku and Himari were the top students and when they didn't understand something they researched and studied. So funny. Himari's reasoning for his trauma was kind of silly, but it really fit his character. This was such an entertaining read and I could see myself rereading this many times in the future. Absolutely loved it.

I just needed the comfort read so I picked this up :)

The physical is now in my hands and I immediately reread. So incredibly sweet. I absolutely love it. Gaku definitely takes advantage of Himari's naiveté, but like everything else about this is so cute and wholesome that it's very easily overlooked. He also never does anything that Himari doesn't like or want. I love them so much.

Very sweet! The buildup was nice, and their struggles not too drawn out. I liked their relationship

This was a completely adorable coming of age story where the protagonists are learning about their sexuality, themselves and how to navigate the world around them. I loved the character development in this volume, which did a bang up job of finishing the story and making it feel fully complete in a short volume. I don’t feel like I was missing out on any major points (although I would have loved more obviously because Gaku and Himari are so adorable.)

So Himari is a young guy having a rough time with his vivid dreams causing some confusing body reactions while he’s sleeping. When he starts at an all-boys school, he meets Gaku and the two start a friendly competition to be the best in class. But after an interesting conversation with classmates, Gaku realizes just how innocent Himari is and offers to help teach him how to deal with his…situation.

Both of these young guys are unsure of their sexuality. But they’re attracted to each other and get each other off regularly. But when Gaku goes to kiss Himari, he panics and runs from him, trying to convince Himari it was all just a joke. You find out his hesitations and when Himari finally accepts they’re just friends, Gaku can’t let him go.

This was so sweet and sexy. These two were absolutely adorable and innocent and I adored how they researched and tried things out. This is one of the “healthiest” mangas I’ve ever read.

And the illustrations are gorgeous. Side Note: the creator is female and from her final message, so cute!!!
