I spent 3/4 of the book trying to decide if a particular character was sympathetic, which made it all the more engaging once I made up my mind

This is a fast paced, eat the rich type of book.

Brandi is working an internship with a chance at getting a full job. When her boyfriend takes her to a party to meet the owner of the company she is working for she overhears his daughter plotting his murder. She doesn't really believe they will kill him, until she shows up with money and is begging her not to tell. Brandi's life is turned completely upside down when she loses her job, her boyfriend, her place to live, and possibly her freedom.

Taylor is a rich girl with rich girl problems. She wants a man she can't have. She can't get access to her trust fund because she can't pass a drug test, and she wants to use money to make all her problems go away. When she butts heads with Brandi she thinks she has found the perfect scapegoat for her problems. What she doesn't realize is that Brandi is a fighter and she's not going down easily.

The characters are too immature and honestly idiots.

This read like YA and I don't usually care for most YA. A lot of angst too and the racism from Taylor was too much. I was getting frustrated by all the lying. I looked up reviews with spoilers and decided to let this one go.
