Short, sweet, and amusing, with two of the doggiest dogs I have ever seen in literature. The story is nothing of particular note, but the illustrations make the book superb. Huzzah for actually-doggy dogs.

Good ol' Mr. Bud. He had things just the way he liked them. He had his schedule just right. My favorite is number 4: Shift-position-nap-some-more time. And number 6: Greet and make a fuss time is pretty good too. Then Zorro came to live in Mr. Bud's house. How will they get along? There was trouble at first. Then something strange happened. And the greet and make a fuss time was much louder.

I just love Zorro and Mr. Bud. What great dogs. If you like this book you should also read Zorro gets an outfit.

LOVE the illustrations - so expressive and full of humor. The story is engaging and full of charm -- and you know, there are so many adults out there who could identify with the heart of this story. :-)

If you need a picture book about getting a new pet (or a new sibling), or one about getting along with others, or about adjusting to change, or just a cute dog story; get Say Hello to Zorro! Also if you just want to smile, this is a great choice!

Loved it. Perfect for pet lovers gaining a new sibling, since it addresses the idea without being so on the nose.

Mr. Bud loves his schedule, and he is none-too-pleased when Zorro comes to live with them and upsets the balance. But when he and Zorro find their common ground, they find they can coexist and even HAVE FUN together. The illustrations are priceless.

Mr. Bud loves his life and his schedule. Everything is just the way he wants it. Until Zorro moves in. Things are in an uproar until they find out they have the same schedule, and that things are even more fun when they are done with a friend. A great picture book for anyone who has to get used to changes. Recommended for grades PreK-2.

I completely understand dogs who have a schedule that everyone follows. My own dogs make me stick to their schedule.

At first glance I was drawn in by the very simple yet beautiful illustrations as well as the way the writing was creatively scrawled across certain pages. The story is humorous and endearing. Having a rather grumpy husband who does not like having his daily rituals changed, this struck home. I bought this when I was pregnant and knew how topsy turvy our lives were about to become and wanted a gentle way to remind him that it will all work out and turn out better than we could ever imagine. This is now one of his favorite stories to read our son. He even does the silly voices :)
