Love love love the characters and romance. I do wish it was a little happier at the end with certain characters (one of them completely switched with the other) but I loved the romantic ending

"Galaxy: The Prettiest Star" is a DC superhero graphic novel written by Jadzia Axelrod  with art by Jess Taylor.  Taylor Barzelay seems like a normal teenage boy here on Earth.  But ACTUALLY, she is an alien princess named Galaxy Crowned who is in hiding due to a galactic war.  Frustrated by the limitations her family imposes, when she meets Kat, a new classmate from Metropolis, she no longer wants to hide, even if it puts her and her family in danger.  It also features a guard corgi, beautiful retrofuturisic art, and a very fun script.  It's also a queer queer queer comic.

THE ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am obsessed with the art style in this!

The plot of an alien princess having to hide on earth in a teenage boy's body was really interesting. The trans rep was amazing and really hard-hitting in some points. I loved the relationship in this, super uplifting and supportive. The reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because I'm still confused about the reason for being in hiding and the purpose of the stone near her heart??? Maybe there will be a second volume that explains things though.

I thought this one was really unique! It follows Taylor an alien princess who is in hiding and has to live on Earth as a human boy! Because of this situation, a lot of the experiences can be seen as someone who is trans. Throughout the course of the story, Taylor accepts the fact she can’t hide forever and falls in love in the process. I love Taylor as a character and also her LI, Cat! Cat is an amputee and I loved to see the representation. And this one does have a happy ending as well! I will say a lot of the backstory and alien life isn’t too evolved in the story and it's mainly focused on Taylor becoming confident in herself and falling in love. It's not as action-packed as I expected which I enjoyed. That being said I would love to get more in a possible series in which we explore the consequences of Taylor coming out of hiding.
.
CW: f-slur, strict home environment, hiding your true self, use of a gun (non-violent), suicidal thoughts (brief), misgendering, transphobia/homophobia.
