That was fun and even better than the first one! A bit slow and redundant at the beginning, but it eventually picked up to a maddening pace.

Not a long review, but a short what I thought about it.

I was kind of worried about this book, while the first book still left a whole lot open for more books, I wasn't sure if it would be ok or if I would like it.

It turns out, I didn't need to worry, the book was just awesomeness.
Angel is once again, a really kick-ass zombie. Marcus... well I wish he would stop being so worried and always making decisions for Angel. Angel doesn't need a babysitter, she just wants a cute boyfriend who she can trust and who trusts her in return.

It was also a very exciting book, lots happened, we got mafia, new zombies, conspiracies, death and so much more! I flew through this book, it was really an amazing ride, and unlike the first > second book, I couldn't wait to read the third one.

I will be sure to read the rest of the books too, whenever they come out, and I really hope many will still be written.

I'm still incredibly grossed out reading about brains and how they taste and are prepared but Diana has a great writing style that makes not reading one of her books impossible. Angel always seems to find herself at the front of trouble and I enjoy reading about her struggles and adventures. She really is growing into herself and I cant wait to see what is thrown at her next.

Things are looking up for Angel in this book. She is getting more responsibility at her job and she is starting to have trust in herself.
Then a series of events take place and not only does she have to trust in herself but she has to put her trust in someone she isn’t sure doesn’t want to kill her.

I loved the action and the quick thinking this book has and all the F-Bombs!! HAHA yep Angel and the F word go hand and hand and I love that she says it whenever she feels no if and's or butts about it.

Again I really enjoyed Allison’s performance she brought this book to life. Can’t wait to listen to book 3!

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed book 1. Angel is a great characters, she is tough, snarky and so sarcastic. Oh and she is a bit of a bad ass too. I really love her inner monologue, she makes me giggle! I think her job at the Coroner's Office really makes this series good. It's creepy and kinda gross but funny and full of drama and excitement. I also really like the side characters a lot too.

Allison McLemore was amazing again in this book. She really does bring Angel to life.

The sequel I didn't know I needed!

I'm so blessed that this series is a thing and so happy to know there are at least 3 more books left in the series.

Yep, I waited way too long to read this series. Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues was pretty much just as good as the first one!

I love the characters - especially Angel (the MC) and the zombie mythology just gets better and better! in Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues we got a little biology lesson about how zombies - in this world - have a parasite, not a virus. I swear this was such a cool application of science that I'm thinking it would be a fun way to teach kids the differences! It was easy to follow - and I SUCK at science - and really enriched my understanding of the world.

Angel's trying so hard to get her life together and in Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues the obstacles are stacking up against her. Her past and the reputation it's given her is making things super hard and my heart went out to her. But I loved her attitude and the way she's not willing to give up on herself. I can tell I'm going to really love cheering for her over the course of the series.

There's also a really good mystery - I think I've decided to consider this books as paranormal cozy mysteries because Angel is SO your amateur sleuth, getting into all sorts of trouble trying to solve murder mysteries. But she has to, because she's in the thick of it.

And I'm so happy I have this series on audio! Allison McLemore is so good! I've said this already but this duo reminds me of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi, it's such a good fit. I did notice this time that some of the male voices were a bit too feminine for my liking, but seriously, so not a big deal.

A fun read that made me laugh my ass off. Usually books that are fun don't get as high of a rating from me, because they don't have the serious I need for a SERIOUSLY great book. But Angel's struggle to put her life together makes this series and Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues the perfect blend of funny and serious for me!
