I really enjoyed this book. It is a story of unrequited love. Chase Sumers is back at Redemption Ranch recovering from a nasty injury that had his entire family worried. No bull riding until he heals so he is helping out working with the horses. Hailey is the widow of his best friend. He has not seen her in four years since the funeral. She is the last person he expects to see at the ranch when he returns. She is working at the ranch helping to get the new ideas for the ranch into motion. Chase has always loved Haliey, but thought that his best friend was better for her. Turns out her marriage was not what is should have been and now she is raising her son alone. Is it too late for him to let her in and love her? Can he choose her over the rodeo life? Good read.

Sweet, emotional and hot

You could taste the tears, feel the heat, and understand the complexity of all the characters. This was a great read, though I did find it a bit repetitive. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Standalone. 3rd person dual pov. No violence. Steamy

A sweet swoony love story

I love wounded damaged heroes - probably because they seem to deserve a happy ending the most and make him a cowboy and phew…Chase is a really good example. He’s a good guy and you just know love will let him see he’s such a kind, sweet, good guy who deserves all the good things. Chase was bounced around foster families his whole life until he ended up at the Rawlings Ranch as a teenager with his foster brothers Ty and West. Chase is a bull rider on the rodeo circuit who sends his winnings home to support the ranch. He gets badly hurt on a ride and is home temporarily to heal. Hailey grew up with Chase and married his best friend Adam who died during a bull riding competition. She’s a single mom and has no desire to get involved with Chase. Chase and Hailey’s journey to their inevitable HEA is a bit of a roller coaster ride but what a beautiful journey it is. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, real life issues, imperfect characters, tearful moments, and heart squeezing love - expect to laugh, to swoon, and to cry. While I love reading romances for the HEA, when real life issues are included - like death, single parenthood, foster families, and the scars those experiences leave - it makes for more three dimensional characters and more well rounded storylines. This story was a masterpiece of all the things. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

We only see what others allow us to see. The philosophy of humanity seems to be less vulnerability more masquerade. With Chase, Ryder lifts off the blinders and exposes the emotional cavity to some healing light. Coming Home to the Cowboy is the journey Hailey and Chase. From long time friends, to secret lovers and second chance romance. Along the way each learns about life, love, loss and redemption, while hopelessly falling in love. These characters dig deep into a heart and take up residence within your soul.

This is the second book in the Redemption Ranch Series and is another fantastic read. We met Chase in the first book and I really liked him so was glad he got his own story I could relate to Chase he is all grown and made a name for himself but deep down he still feels like that lost foster kid who is not worth anything that is until he meets Hailey and her son I loved watching these three together this was a super read and I really enjoyed it

Bull riders are a special breed in the rodeo world. Many call them crazy for wanting to sit on the back of an animal who weighs on average 1,500 pounds. An animal who has very sharp horns and is bred to want to buck, twist and throw off anything placed on its back.

Bull riders only have to stay on the back of these very talented animals for 8 seconds. But oh what a ride they have trying to make it to those 8 seconds. And their injury rate for bull riders tends to be a bit higher than the average rodeo cowboy’s. Chase Summers is never reckless but he managed to tangle with a bull who decided Chase wasn’t going to win this round.

Chase is one of the three boys who were adopted and given a second chance when he was in his teens by a foster father who believed in second chances. Chase is wanting to win the big purses to help cover the expenses of the ranch after he and his foster brothers inherit the ranch. But after the tangle with the bull, Chase needs time to heal and his brothers try to find ways to keep him on the ranch.

Hailey Spencer has moved back to town to help her mom and to try to let her 6 year old son grow up in the country. She takes a job at Redemption Ranch using her skills as an accountant and in business development which includes housing on the ranch.

Hailey’s husband was a bull rider and lost his life after not winning the battle with a bull. So she is very leery about being near Chase. She and Chase grew up together along with Adam, her husband.

Can Hailey let go of her hang ups and let herself love Chase? Can Chase stop running and stay home?

Megan Ryder always writes fantastic novels with well developed characters and wonderful backgrounds. This book is worth a read.

I did receive a copy of the book in advance from the publisher in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

I am so glad Chase's story was next as I really wanted to know more about him and geeze he really does hold his emotions in so no wonder he is a bit of a tortured sole. Hailey is back in town after leaving years ago, she is now a widow and single mother to AJ needing work so she can get out from under her parents roof. Fate, serendipity, destiny what ever you want to call it but now Chase and Hailey are in the same place and it is time they face his best friend and her husband Adams death as well as how they feel about each other. This is definitely going to tug at the heart strings especially with the raw emotions that both Chase and Hailey go through, along with their insecurities and need you have for them to see they are worth loving and belong together.
