I really enjoyed this book. I hadn’t read anything like this before, so I was certainly intrigued to find out what was going on. Basically the book is based on two characters - Alexander, who is invisible, and Sophie, a solid-being who feels invisible inside. They go on a journey to help Alexander “find” his solid body, and along the way, each of the characters finds more pieces to help make themselves whole again. Some of the feelings and emotions described in this story felt familiar for me, as a person who suffers with anxiety and depression, some of Sophie’s thoughts and feelings resonated with me.

There is a love story intertwined through this book, and whilst I am not normally a fan of love stories, I am happy the author didn’t have the pair jumping into bed straight away. The book did seem to end very quickly too, after 300+ pages of discovery and the book ended in 6 or so. Otherwise though, it was a quick and enjoyable read, although a different genre to what I am used to.

Overall, an enjoyable read, a journey of discovery, soul-searching and adventure, with just enough romance thrown in.
