A pretty simple and straightforward book of short horror stories, tied together loosely by an overall narrative framing. If I were younger I'd probably have enjoyed it quite a bit more, many of the stories hit the right notes of pure entertainment and shock horror campfire horror that I can see being told on late night sleepovers. My personal favorite is the babysitter story, I feel like that was the most unique in terms of story elements and I loved the absurd horror provided from the jaw-stretching and the man from the eyes. Nothing groundbreaking, there's more than a few standard clichés and usual horror tropes and the stories do feel kind of hit or miss, but it's a satisfactory collection that does the job well enough.
Moderate: Child death
