Miss Julia has made peace with her deceased husband’s (Wesley Lloyd Springer) mistress (Hazel Marie Puckett). Miss Julia is childless, but she has taken in Hazel Marie and Little Lloyd. The estate has been split between Miss Julia and Little Lloyd. Many people would like to get their hands on Little Lloyd’s inheritance. Such as Presbyterian Paster Ledbetter and Hazel Marie’s brother (a TV evangelist) Vernon Puckett. Miss Julia is strait-laced and proper and has much to say about churches and NASCAR. A mystery of strong women, women who need men, and North Carolina.

Miss Julia is at it again. I love the fact that she will see a problem and set at work getting it resolved. She tries to be considerate and polite, but push come to shove, she takes matters into her own hands. I so can relate to a woman like that.
This series is fun loving and quick to read. I find myself laughing and cheering Miss Julia on.

Bossy busybody Miss Julia solves the kidnapping of Hazel Marie, meets a bunch of NASCAR people, and helps Pastor Ledbetter figure out why the church building funds were so low.
Miss Julia kinda grates on my nerves. Her prudish nature and know-it-all attitude are annoying. I do enjoy when other characters put her in her place.
The story was slow getting started but did have a few humorous scenes in the second half.

Miss Julia's inner monolog is wonderfully wry.  It's almost like a cross between Mitford and Steel Magnolias...
