Interesting story, excellent execution, but a lot of violent/disturbing content.

I'm not big on super hero movies and apparently I'm not big on super hero books either.

Great narration and casting of narrators. Some of the stories were interesting but most of the book felt over the top. Lots of gore, violence, abusive relationships that felt over the top frequently.

Up to this point in my life, this is quite possibly the best produced audiobook I've ever read. But it also gave me chills down my spine.

Whoever decided to make this a full cast audiobook deserves an award. Hell, the voice actors deserve an award: the voices are great, the accents correspond well with the characters and the time periods, and each chapter feels like an exciting TV episode going on in your mind. The sound production was also incredible, little background noises and music that really added to the quality and ambience of each scene.

That being said, PLEASE ADHERE TO THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. This isn't an audiobook for kids, and if you're sensitive to violence and morally depraved actions, it may be really hard for you to listen.

Lastly, don't listen to this in the evening or at night. It may give you bad dreams. In my case, it made it harder than usual to fall asleep.

TW: abduction, imprisonment, violence, some gore, rape, pregnancy resulting from rape, abuse and neglect of children, some homophobia and sexism, serial killers, murder, one instance of genital mutilation (from what I remember), psychological trauma.

Audio book only - a dramatized version of the first 20 comics of The Sandman.

STELLAR cast and incredible storytelling.

Trigger warnings for: rape, child abuse, murder, pretty much any and all violence, substances

I am past the point in my life where I write long reviews (if I write reviews at all) but this is totally worth your time if you are a Neil Gaiman fan.

The artwork was fantastic and the story was interesting. However, I could not tell you what the hell i just read. It was like reading 6 different stories in the one book.

I have heard rave reviews about this book that maybe it was overyhped for me, as
I finished the first book with a little more left to desire.

I just watched the Netflix show. It was brilliant so I figured I would read the comic. Turns out the comic wasn’t really something I would get into. Then I found this audible version. Oh. My. God. So good! Neil Gaiman has one of the best narration voices. Excellent casting choices. This was a very very enjoyable listen. I will definitely be listening to the next ones.
