While I enjoyed the expansive history, due to the way it was written (more like a history textbook) I would have preferred more visual aids to help process the information.

As I did with the Game of Thrones show, I decided to read this book to see how it aligns with House of the Dragon. I started back in June but my library loan ended & I had to wait to get another Kindle copy on Libby. While I felt like it dragged at times, I like having the show in my mind to help me visualize the characters. There. Are. SO. Many. Characters. (Especially characters named Aegon). But it's definitely a descriptive book that you can almost see playing out on screen. I wonder how much the show will align with the book.
