What even is this book? I feel like Sogn was trying to write 3 different novels at once, the message was garbled, and the pacing was just plain weird. And yet I gobbled it up in 3 days and find myself wishing that Sogn had other books I could add to my tbr.

Delia gets an odd message from a friend she was close to as a child but hasn't spoken to in years. She tries to track her down only to find that she is mixed up with a cult. Delia dives into the cult head first to find out what happened to her now missing friend. Delia ends up not only solving the mystery of where her friend is but also what happened to their third friend when they were just teens.

In a word, this book is unsettling. It’s disturbing to see the main character and others pulled farther in by the “wellness group” that has sinister secrets. This book kept me interested for the most part, though there were several “twists” that seemed quite obvious.
