This didn’t vibe with Avatar the show at ALL. It celebrates industrialism and
SpoilerAang kills a spirit to protect… a refinery?? That’s polluting and destroying the environment??
No thanks.

Not bad. It’s nice to see more of Toph since the Search didn’t have any of her, and it was nice to get some closure for Toph’s relationship with her dad.

She didn’t need a love interest though 🙄

I give the book a 4 stars. It was a lot good.

This book is the continuation of The search. Which is a great book.

In the book , Team Avatar decide or just Aang decides to Restart an old tradition of The Yangchen's festival. Zuko is not in this book , unfortunately because he has to help his family.

Toph does bow to the statue because well it brings old memories of her life. Which aren't good ones.

Then they see a whole town is built which will be. Republic city.
I just bought the next book I can't wait to read it.

After all these years I'm still in love with the boy in the iceberg, the last waterbender of the Southern water tribe, the boomerang boy (lol that has a nice ring to it), the greatest earth bender in the world, and the honorable fire lord who helped them stop the war. Can't wait for the library edition of "Shadow and Smoke"!
