I picked up this book right after finishing Solaris and I can't understand why you only ever hear about the latter when talking about Lem's work. The Invincible was such a great read. The plot rarely slows down (so unlike Solaris) and Lem builds both tension and mystery masterfully. It still carries meaningful philosophical questions on humanity but presents them in very approachable way.
Also it was very endearing to read about the 1960s prediction of nanotechnology.
A second book of Lem I had the pleasure to read and definitely my favourite one of the two.
