Thrilling Sequel !!

The sequel picks right after the events of Uplifts. Emara finding herself from the sorrow and grief of her best friend. And Torin being there with her every single moment. I loved Emara and Torin togther and the way their push each other limits. The Waterfall and Emara ascension scenes!! I'm always Team Torin. He's my man. I flew through the book in a couple of days and it was mind blowing in the end! It was an emotional ride in the book. I loved development of characters and actions, angst, secrets, duty, self discovery, and...love. Oh, how I wish I've book 3 in my hands right now!

First of all…WOW! To adequately express how much I love this book is going to be hard lol. The story picks up where book one ended which I absolutely love when authors do this. I want to be on the journey with the character the entire way. We get to feel Emara’s heartbreak and it’s so real. I loved her character development throughout this book as she comes into more of her own.

Then there’s Torin Blacksteel.

I was a little let down by this since I loved the first book so much.

The romance aspect was great! No complaints there.

Like the first book, the writing could use some refining. The pacing felt slow at times, and the big twist is one you can see coming from the beginning of book 1. The cliffhanger ending felt like it was just tacked on for shock value. After the journey you are taken on in the book, it felt redundant to go down that path. Unfortunately it did not get me excited to pick up the next one.

Filled with passion, original prose and plenty of spice.

My love for this author, series and book grows with everything Noelle writes. An Empress of Fire and Steel was even better then the first book and that's saying a lot because I absolutely loved the first book.

Emara's character growth is so intriguing and I love how she bonds with the other characters. I'll admit book one I was team Gideon but after book 2 I can see the love that Torin gets!

Can we also talk about the amazing side characters in this series? OMG I want Breighly as my bestie! She's amazing! Artem is hilarious and constantly had me smiling to myself during this read!

Okay that's enough from me! Time for you to read it and see how amazing it is!
