This is the ultimate Holmes mystery with the classic suspense, slight horror and plausible explanation all set in the remote and dramatic scenery of the moors. We see more of Watson's character than in other stories as Holmes is off doing more secretive investigations on the moors themselves while Watson continues with his own investigations at Baskerville itself. With very Poe-esque overtones this is a brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable read

Good artwork! I usually don't enjoy graphic novels when they simplify previous material, but I did enjoy this one.

A classic, yes, but not really a mystery. More of a slow thriller. The mystery never really feels puzzling, and many reveals are not that surprising. Can't remember the name of it, but there's that trope where the hero--at the last minute--sees an object that solves the whole thing. Hate it. The writing is very good, of course. The  mystery genre is by far my favorite, but this one was fairly dull. There are better Holmes stories.
