I saw the movie first, and I am glad I did because Lana Turner makes a much better Cora than the one written in The Postman Always Rings Twice. I am glad I had her portrayal of the character to bring it alive for me, because the written one was rather flat. Other than that, the story was swift and smooth. As page-turning as the movie is eye-gluing. I actually prefer how some elements were treated in the movie as opposed to the novel, such as Cora's trial and the ending; however, the book has a sauciness that you just don't taste in the movie. Combined, they are nearly perfect.

This book was a roller coaster! The ending shocked me. Feels like a book i’m gonna be thinking about for a long time. Thrilled there’s a film.

Vagrancy, adultery, murder. I have discovered I don't like genre at all. I'm not happy with this book. Also what in the world is this title about, it's worse then Breakfast at Tiffany's, at least they went to Tiffany's in that book, there was NO POSTMAN!
