Seeing as Lola and the Millionaires is my happy go-to read, I knew I'd love this one as well.
And I did. 100%
Kathryn Moon can do no wrong as every single one of her books are just chefs kiss, perfection.
I can't wait for the next one as I'm not ready to let Omegaverse go <3

Eve, the assassin female alpha, has been assigned her next mark: Adam. However, Eve soon realises that she doesn't have the right facts, as Adam is an omega and not the enemy she was made to believe. There is something darker going on behind her mission, and Eve won't rest until she finds out the truth and keeps her mark alive, even if it means joining a pack.
I love how strong Eve is both in her job and in her pack. I can't wait to read more about her in the rescue for Faith.

I really, really wanted to like this, and I did; but for some reason, I felt like there was something off the whole time. This was my first omegaverse book that wasn't a fanfiction (lol), so I had high hopes for it and-- while I thought the FMC was badass and hot and the MMC was super cute but also still badass, there was a constant red flag going off in the back of my head. Adam never really truly got a say in anything-- he may have initiated it in the beginning on purpose, but every decision was made without his say for a lot of the choices made, and I didn't love that. I understand that it's a fairly common trope in omegaverse stories, but it's never been one of my favorites.
About 1/3 of the way through a sort of RH dynamic became introduced, which I was not expecting at all (I should have expected it, since it's in the book description, but I just didn't read). It was actually a nice surprise, as I really enjoyed the addition of the new characters and I loved the dynamic that the five of them all had-- especially with the FMC, Eve, who is an alpha in all senses of the word, and I love her.
