Probably my second favorite of these little books. Such a fun play on a fairytale, nothing too bad happens to anyone, and it's fun to imagine jewels falling out of someone's mouth

I strongly remember finding this book at my hometown’s library and then reading when I was younger. I remember it being short and the book cover being purple with an illustration of two girls. When I FINALLY got back into reading in 2020 (reading fantasy) I kept thinking about this book. I found it and ended up buying it lol. I just read the book again remembering the storyline (although forgetting about the Prince’s pet names to Rosella, haha). So this was strictly for nostalgic purposes.
I also remember in middle school (so quite a bit older from first reading The Fairy’s Mistake) reading The Wish by this author and liking that story as well. I had no idea this is the same author of Ella Enchanted (how embarrassing!) so now I want to read that as well… assuming it’s the baseline of one of my favorite childhood movies starting Anne Hathaway.
