I don't think I've ever gone from hating a character to loving her as drastically as I did in this book. I could not stand Sam for much of the book. She was a mean, nasty girl, who cared too much about what everyone thought of her. But she makes an incredible transformation while reliving the same day over and over until she figures out what she needs to do.

I just want to add that this is really the most beautiful and sad story I've ever read...

I really like Sam and I was glad she was brave enough to make things right in her life or should I say after-life.

I felt really sorry for Kent though...almost cry, I guess if I was alone reading it I would.

I really recommend this book to everyone, it makes you think about bad things you have done and it makes you think about what will happen when we die.

10 from 5 stars :)

So sad. This book makes you laugh and cry. You fall in love. For a little while I was getting annoyed by the repetition, but the way it ended and all came together... I'm so emotional over it.

It was so well written and went against the usual groundhog repetition in that each new day was played out differently. You felt a connection with different characters which helped make this story so well done. I watched the film a few years ago and found it actually did the book justice which is rare for more book to film scenarios.

Who knew living in the same day seven consecutive times can evoke a rollercoaster of emotions and that anything can still happen? It sends a meaningful message about life and how the choices we make shape us. There is still the question of how Sam is able to relive her last day, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s a beautiful debut novel by Oliver. And there’s nothing I love more than a book, which makes me cry and really think after I’ve turned the last page.

Good writing, didn’t like the ending, I think it ended not very smart and could be done better.
Overall I enjoyed reading it, but was a bit disappointed.
