Well . . .

What did I just read?

Honestly, I’m not terribly sure.

There are glimpses of passion, for sure, but also endless pages of tension building that seemed to lead to more tension that led to a fireworks display, someone being innocent, someone being jealous enough to murder, and then, boom, a picturesque scene in India.

And let’s not forget a horrible scene at the opera that hardly seemed necessary.

It was as if the author had multiple plots in mind, but instead of creating different stories, just dumped them all into this one book.

Huh?

Was Clara going to poison the aunt? Did Graham murder Shaw? Who is Theo?!

I gave this book three stars because I honestly could not put it down, BUT much of that is because I felt lost half the time and was determined to reach the end to find everything neatly explained.

I was wrong. Instead of everything finally resolving, we move from yet another mess to something that resembles a happy ending (Rhys talks now?!), but with nothing to explain how we got there.

To say I am disappointed would be kind.

Good....but confusing

This story had such potential, but left me confused. Too many pieces of the story not explained or developed. At the very end a new character seemingly popped up and so many questions left unanswered. Not sure if I would read other book in the series.
