This book instantly has flown to the top of my favorite reads of this year, if not of all time. I absolutely love Genesis Washington. He is officially my new book boyfriend! This story was so captivating I had to stop myself from reading it because I had things to do in the morning. This book at me giggling and blushing and everything! This book was everything! This was my first read from this author, but it surely will not be my last because she DID THAT!

Very fun read definitely worth the time

Jordana and Genesis are my favourite couple of this year! Not only do they communicate whenever there’s a problem instead of ghosting they also reassure each other constantly and it’s so beautiful to read. I love the fact that it took time for their relationship to develop and that the conflict didn’t have anything to do with their relationship but outside factors

I enjoyed this book. Great narrators. Some of the slang was overused but other than that I liked it

I loved this book. I read one excerpt on Tik Tok and I said that I had to read this. I am so glad that I was not disappointed.

The story of Genesis and Jordana was a breath of fresh air for me. The way that he takes care of the women in his life was beautiful. I loved the fact that Jordana was a hard worker and wasn’t materialistic. She appreciated things and had no problem with being about her business.

Genesis reminds me of my husband. He don’t play about who he loves and is a true protector. You don’t have to want for anything and he will always have your back. He will encourage you to do better and to be a better version of yourself.

I also loved the closeness of her brothers to look out for their only sister even though she was the oldest. The regular family nights was encouraging and needed within Black families. Even the siblings had their own nights outside of eating with their mom and I really loved that.

This story was one that I thoroughly enjoyed and will continue to look for this author. She is amazing.

I definitely enjoyed this book, even though the writing was a bit off to me in some parts, specially the epilogue. I don’t know why the author decided to change the narration to a third person pov, but I didn’t like it.
I think I liked Jordana and Genesis so much that I was willing to overlook the stuff that I did not like.
There were some things that I wished were detailed/explained better. I know the book was about Jordana and Genesis but I was also curious about his sister and, Dane and Charlie.
I did not like the drama with Kymani. I thought that was unnecessary. Maybe not unnecessary but it was a bit too "soup opera-ish" for me.
First book by this author and overall, I had a good time.

Holy Moly!!! This book had some of the best spice I have ever read and it seriously blew me away. Besides the spice, I thought each character was really interesting to read about and I love that I got to see each of their perspectives. The chemistry between the two was instant, which usually isn’t for me, but I loved them and was rooting for them right away. Overall I loved every part of this book and will defiantly be picking up more from this author.
