I loved the whole vibe and the romance was on a track to be so good but i found the ending to be a bit lackluster and while I understand the reason and it really portrayed the numbness of the narrator I wasn’t sad because of the way it was written so casually and seemed to brush everything off. Other than that it was an amazing mix of creepy, gross, lighthearted, friendly, and mysterious.

Ta książka złamała mi serce. Nie dość że historia jest ciekawa, a zarazem przerażająca, to w dodatku jest jedną z najpiękniejszych jakie czytałam. Bohaterowie wykreowani absolutnie genialnie. Każdy jest inny, ma swój własny charakter. Gdybym mogła dałabym milion gwiazdek. (Nadal podtrzymuje opinie German >>>>>>)

L’ho finito a fatica, non mi è piaciuto per nulla.
Avevo sentito tante buone recensioni su Zafon ma questa sua storia non lo trovata per nulla entusiasmante, anzi è stata abbastanza noiosa.
C’è il tentativo di scrivere una storia che dovrebbe fare paura, ma questo tentativo è fallito alla grande perché il tutto risulta molto poco credibile…

I first read Marina during the summer, and even the heat, the sun, could not take me out of this book's gloomy atmosphere. I got genuinely scared at one point, which might be explained by the fact that I was 12, but I like to believe that the general creepiness of the novel is solely to blame! However, Marina is more than horror : it's also beautiful, touching and deeply tragic. It is one of my favourite books ; it made me want to learn Spanish so that I could read Carlos Ruiz Zafón's original prose!
