Just feels very generically dystopian with nothing to make the world or characters unique.
Graphic: Classism and Racism

A fascinating look at the dystopian future where the darker you are the higher up in the elite class you are.
It’s interesting to see absolute power corrupting absolutely even in this future. Too many loose ends at the end for me to give it a super high score but I definitely couldn’t put it down and enjoyed the book and themes immensely.

*ARC review*
First time reading a dystopian novel that puts the black community in the spotlight and it did not disappoint. The world building is good, every plot points presented was explored enough but left some room to tackle for the sequels. I also love the fact that the plot did not focus alot on romance. However, the characterization did not offer something new for me.
*Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC of this book.*
