I went in cold into this story, chose it because of the narrator. It was much darker than I expected, but I was really interested in the plot of the story. It was a bit slow moving in some places and I did figure out what was going to happen pretty early on but it kept me hanging in.
The story takes place over just two or three days so when the action is moving it’s quick & on the edge of your seat stuff, but there were a lot of points of view and some stuff was repetitive or too slow and thoughtful. It would take me to a place of tension and then slow it down and take it back. After a few times, that got annoying.Â
I had to ignore my dislike for most of the characters and their actions.
