Sobbed my eyes out when I read this at school. Added another character I kin to my list. holy moley man what a debut book. Big trigger warning though. Stay safe, and know that you are loved and that you are enough.

“You never know what someone is going through. Be kind. Always.” - is the quote that best describes this book for me.

Every character, every flaw, all the differences between them, their childhood & every struggle they went through makes it real. Someone in our world is one of these characters. You’ll just never know who.

Finished this book within 10 days. It was a really reflective book. I almost cried at the climax of what happened.

The book beautifully captures, grief, death and guilt. It also explains very well the concept of the afterlife and why we believe in it if we do.

Love this story very much ! At first I don't like the style of the author, for example I never finished "The fault of the stars", but this one is absolutely incredible ! It's a coming-of-age story, and a little bit a love story but don't read it for this, which talk about how find his place in the world.
I would love the Alaska view point it should be so interesting to see how she really thinks !

After a notable event partway through the book, it just seemed to drag on. I didn't find the characters engaging enough to make their "means to the end" compelling. I complained to friends and family who would listen that I "just can't wait to be done with this book". I'm of the belief every book should be given its own fair shot unless it's that unbearable. But alas, it was just mediocre. Not my cup of tea, really.

This book is absolutely gorgeous and I can see myself rereading it one day. I read it in the oerfect point in my life and some of the quotes in it are amazing and things I’d like to come back to in the future. The plot is brilliantly paced and I loved all of the characters. Would recommend especially for a mid to late teenager
