The Lido (also titled, “Mornings with Rosemary”) is not the book for you if you are looking for a fast-paced or high-intrigue story. However, if you are looking for a character-driven story about finding community/connection/friendship, then this might be the book for you.

For me, this was a wonderful read about characters finding their people (framily / friend group) — which is my favorite type of story. Similar in that way to “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” (or movies like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “While You Were Sleeping,” or “This Beautiful Fantastic”).

I liked how one of the main characters experiences anxiety/panic attacks as neurodiverse protagonists are woefully uncommon. That said, I would have liked it better if the author hadn’t perpetuated the idea that anxiety/panic can be fixed or solved.
