4.5* I really enjoyed this story, it had me hooked from the very start and was full of suspense too. This is definitely my favorite of the series, and reminded me of Cheyenne McCray's Armed and Dangerous series, which I really like.

I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is the first book I’ve read/listened to by this author. I was given a chance to receive a free audio book so I decided to check out a new to me author. I was expecting this to be a cowboy story somewhat from the cover but it isn’t. Also I think it would have helped had I already read the previous in the series. It is a good story. Kelley has a strong personality. It comes across when she doesn’t let injury nor being kidnapped stop her. Her partner Reese also is a strong personality except where Kelley is concerned. Their relationship moves into more than partners. While trying to stop Rocha, a trafficker, from selling Belle, Kelley is kidnapped and beat up. This story is full of action. The end leaves open a whole different direction for the couple. The Narrator, David Quimby, does a great job bringing the story to life. Now I have to go back and read the previous stories.
