Thatcher, the man that you are šŸ«µ

His character development was so perfect to his character. Ugh this man is just so šŸ˜»

The way he went from ā€œI feel nothingā€ to ā€œI feel EVERYTHINGā€ for Lyra is JUST SO BEAUTIFUL.

Lyra really walked him like a dog and proved to him how wrong he was.

I love that in this book we got to see both of these characters grow into each other. The way that I strongly believe these 2 are soulmates in EVERY LIFE is telling.

I know I loved Sage and Rook but I think deep down, Thatch and Lyra take the win for me. I mean their entire relationship is so addictive and incredibly unique.

The notes that they left each other in Lyras books really had me folding, they TRULY get one another.

Although the imitator was predictable, I had a good time with this certain plot given how essential it was to these characters growth.

Cannot believe Iā€™m reading Silas book next, Iā€™m so close to finishing the series šŸ˜

ā€I think I knew you in a past life. Do you think thatā€™s crazy?ā€
ā€œNo, but me wanting to know you in every life after this one might be.ā€

Iā€™m obsessed. Iā€™m addicted.
I am absolutely in love with Lyra and Thatcher and this crazy, fucked up world they are living in.

For a killer, I really wasnā€™t expecting Thatcher to say the most swoon worthy things. I absolutely devoured this, especially when Thatcher started to have more layers peeled back and show vulnerability to Lyra.

I honestly think this might be one of my favourite dark romance series. I love all our main characters, the plot is addictive and mysterious, and the mmcā€™s are all twisted. I love it.

Iā€™m gonna say this now, there is lots of blood and gore. But I am twisted and in love with the psychopaths soā€¦read if you dare?

I love it clearly and am about to read the last book in the series so wish me luck!

read my review of the first half of this duet (The Blood we Crave: Part One) to get an overview of my thoughts on the beginnings of thatcherlyra and the introduction of the plot in this part.

not gonna lie, the big bad villain and plot in this book was predictable. but it was written so well that i'm not too hung up on it.

The nightmare of Ponderosa Springs and his darling phantom.

and what happened throughout the story, and thatcherlyra's journey together, was so fucking good and keeps it as 5 stars.

favorite quotes:

I warned them what I would become if they took him from me. Now there is no need to fear the reaper. They should fear the woman who loves him.

Iā€™ve felt his heart beneath my hands, committed the steady rhythm to memory, and I know it matches my own. Itā€™s a pair, his and mine, created from the same flesh and muscle, cleaved into two separate bodies.

ā€œMaybe Iā€™d die for you, Thatcher Pierson,ā€ I mumble. ā€œBut death is inevitable for us all. Itā€™s what youā€™d do for me that matters.ā€

Thatcher was perfectly made, but I was made perfect for him.

ā€œDarling.ā€ He traces the front of his white teeth with his tongue, a starved animal ready to feast. ā€œIā€™d rid the world of men who breathe the same air as you.ā€

ā€œYou taste like my favorite nightmare.ā€

I wish I could say that I donā€™t believe in fate, but if it was real, I think I wouldā€™ve been made for her too.

My lack of a soul wasnā€™t because of the evil that had infested my motherā€™s womb or my fatherā€™s corrupt DNA.
No, I didnā€™t have one because it belonged to her.

I think when we were created, instead of splitting our spirits in half, they gave both of them to her in order to keep them safe. To remind me, when the time was right, that all I am is hers to carry.

He is both their nightmare and my daydream.

This couldā€™ve stayed only an obsession, but it had bloomed into something lovely and dark. A rosebush with twice as many thorns, but still breathtaking.

She is my obsessed angel, and I am her possessive god.

We are two halves of a broken hole. Two mangled people trying to find solace in all the darkness weā€™d been given.

If she wanted my heart, Iā€™d give it to her. She could keep it on a shelf in one of her jarsā€”it was never mine to begin with. Not when itā€™s always been hers.

ā€œDeath is trivial. He canā€™t keep you from me. Iā€™ll follow you to the grave every time and find you in each life after.ā€

in the end, no thoughts just thatcherlyra ā™”
