this was so very sweeeeeet đź’› kinda repetitive but very well written.
the plot was heartwarming and the characters were loveable but the best thing was, of course, the writing style 🫶🏼
and i wonder why this series is called 'Inglewood' when it could have been called 'Silver Birch Society' 🫡

I finished this book in 2 days! Need I say more? I love Sally’s books and really enjoyed the start to a new series. As always a great clean regency romance! I think I felt every emotion with Esther reading this book. Sally is so good at capturing and describing emotions, things I felt in my youth that I had forgotten! This book was especially poignant to me as my father in law unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago. I have never lost someone so close to me and Sally does a great job expressing the feelings of grief I have recently experienced. I can’t wait for the love stories of the other members of the silver birch society!

Edited to add I just listened to the audiobook and loved it! The narrator was amazing and did the story justice!

This was a very chaste closed door somewhat forced marriage regency romance.

After two “compromising” incidents Silas and his best friends younger sister Esther are forced to wed.
Esther struggles with feeling like a burden and being consistently left out of things her whole life and this is something she and Silas have to navigate especially in the wake of a tragic event.

I enjoyed this novel although I did find Esther kind of whiny at times. I appreciated her feelings but she seemed like she was too old to be as pouty as she often was. I liked Simon a lot and loved his take on courting his wife.

I found the narrator for this audiobook, Marian Hussey appropriate for the material and easy to listen to.

Thank you to the author for a review copy of the audiobook of Rescuing Lord Inglewood

I love Sally Britton and excited to read this book. I love how it started, keeping us intrigued with the statue. I loved seeing Silas and Esther learning about each other and figuring out their way. The end was a shock as I didnt expect that to happen, but Silas and Esther on the beach - all the heart eye emojis! Happy there's another book to follow up with characters.

Een heerlijke roman om even alles te vergeten, boeiend genoeg geschreven om in een ruk uit te lezen. Geen literair pareltje.

Esther Fox thinks she's a bother. She feels a burden to her step-brother and sister-in-law who she lives with, and now she's a burden to poor Lord Inglewood who she saved from near disaster. When her spunky attitude and the constraints of society spur more trouble than expected, she's forced to marry one of her brother's closest friends. Will she continue to be treated like she's the "little sister" of his best friend or will the "Lord of Stone" fall in love with her?

I really liked this book. It's a sweet, easy read that made me want to cozy up in a chair and finish in one sitting. As a military spouse, I liked the military theme woven throughout (Esther's brother, Isaac) that spoke of the hardships of knowing and loving someone in the military. I also liked the way it starts weaving a path for the characters that will be in the following series of books. While I would definitely read it again, there were just a few things that prevented me from giving a full 5 stars.

The number one thing that bothered me throughout this book was that even though Lord Inglewood always did the right thing in every circumstance by helping her, marrying her, protecting her, and more, she took everything he did as an offense. There were so many times the couple seemed to be making progress and then BAM! she was upset about the way he said or did something. It was very frustrating for the reader.

I also wish it had just a tad more romance in it. There were definitely some scenes that were romantic, but they were very light. Even toward the end, when they said they loved each other it felt rushed, not sweet and romantic.

Cute and sweet

There's a lot of "why me", whining, bossing around, and numerous redundant and monotonous behavior, but if you can read through it the story is a sweet and easy read.
