Wonderful little book. If you have children, get it! If you don't have children, get it anyway. You will treasure it : )

So quiet. I think this might work with a lot of ages.

Sweetly and beautifully explores the many types of quiet in a child's world. The illustrations are appropriately soft and quiet, complementing the text nicely.

I liked the idea. I liked the art. I just didn't like the writing. Don't think this would have worked wordless. The best I came up with was removing the word quiet from each page. And even then it just wasn't compelling.

Silence is something that our minds and hearts crave. This picture book portrays the joys and fun that can be had in being quiet. Underwood weaves a beautiful list of activities and fun that children can have while being silent. The soft, wonderful art by Renata Liwska and Underwood's text work hand in hand to help children remember to be mindful and thoughtful. It's also a good teaching book that silence is a good thing in our lives sometimes and it is important to drown out the noise. This should be a book that is included in library story times and parent quiet times.
