Juli and Bryce are fun characters, and the alternating points of view were done well. The author did a great job writing them, infusing their personalities with that of their families, as they grow and the perspectives shift. I can absolutely picturing myself being head-over-heels for each of them if I had read this as a teen. Juli reminded me a bit of Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli which in turned reminded me a bit of Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery.Â
