You could actually end the story here and it would come out to be the same thing. That said, it was simply over the top and yet so utterly satisfying! I'm going to miss reading this series.

This final arc is a little long-drawn-out by this point.

Didn’t love the penultimate installment of Ouran as much as some of the other volumes. Tamaki’s grandma is controlling and toxic, so I felt like the dad was right and Tamaki was naively trying to get his grandma to change when she showed no interest in it or remorse for the pain she caused.

Also, I feel like Haruhi’s character has become less and less interesting as the story has gone on, which is unfortunate. Still, this second to last volume was highly dramatic and suspenseful!

Yessss!! We've finally got a proper confession!!! I know a bunch of other important things happened in this volume as well, but that's the one that affected me the most. I'm very happy for Tamaki and his family, finally being able to start accepting and connecting with each other, even if it's only a little. And my heart is still breaking (eternally) for Hikaru T__T
