I really enjoyed the present-day reflections featured in the book. My only complaint is that I wanted more from Lewis!

I loved this memoir! It took me a minute to get used to the British slang. It was so important to see both Lewis’s internalized homophobia/transphobia and the homophobia/transphobia that is present around him. It was also heartwarming to see current Lewis talk with this younger self, his family and friends to give even more context to the other characters’ behaviors.
