This is a cute coming-of-age story, though it does feel on the young side. (AKA Young Adult, not Adult or even New Adult.) There is magic in this world, though that isn't the focus. Instead, the focus is on relationships of all kinds—family, friends, and romantic relationships. The art style is very consistent and minimal, but it's not my preferred look. (Minimalist graphic novels aren't usually my thing, but this is 100% personal preference.) I didn't really get a sense of what magics were possible in this universe, though, and that was my biggest disappointment for this book. The magic really seemed more like just background to me.

Interesting graphic novel about life post-college and how to figure life out. Loved all of the magic and Easter eggs!

First of all I loved the art style. It’s simple without being “minimal” and the restricted palate suits the setting and themes so well I often didn’t notice it was limited. But it never felt limited, and often the colours looked so complimentary together.

This book deftly tells a tale of post-college ennui and anxiety through 2 close friends who relationship is straining. It’s funny and sweet and sometimes I saw a bit of myself in these witches!
