"Have you ever wanted to fuck a shadow?"

If the answer is yes, this is definitely the book for you.

Fleeing an abusive relationship, Sophie hides out in a cabin in the woods where some weird, lucid-like dreams occur. However, these dreams feel so real.

Curce is the keeper of the woods, where he survives on basically eating the souls of others. Upon Sophie entering his woods, he is enamored and begins to stalk her.

This book is dark and hot!

I have sat on this review because I Loved it so much that I'm having a hard time articulating exactly what about this book I loved. so lets start with possible Trigger warnings:

SA/attempted SA
spousal abuse
Murder
ptsd/anxiety
and probably some others I have forgotten

I love how strong sophie even while battling her past trauma and Cruce is just a freaking badass Ancient forest Lord who has been cursed and does nothing but brood and hunger for life essence. until sophie comes along and he vows to protect what is his and she just so happens to be hiding out on a cabin in his woods....gahhh I Just can't!!! And his antlers! swoon!!

It was a good. A bit short and the ending felt a bit abrupt to me, I'd have like something... more? But worth a read.

If you're looking for hot monster/fae lovin', that's the opposite of slow burn, you'll probably like this

Beautiful and almost haunting

I absolutely adored this! I was afraid it was going to be somewhat dark and torturous, but instead it was beautiful and haunting and very sweet. I'm slightly disappointed that the end felt but they rushed, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Very slow pacing in the story and not a fan of the romance in the story.

I loved this, I wish it was a bit longer the ending felt rushed. But still loved it.
