Wow, this book was one page of tongue twisters after another!!! I could barely keep my mouth going to read it correctly! But it was a big hit with my 5 1/2 yr old friend who read it with me!!

Avery loooooooves this book. They rhymes and the repetition keep him listening, but he loves to pour over the pictures, too.

This was lots of fun to read. A very skilled person could have a great time with this as a read aloud, but the rhymes are difficult (but always terrific) tongue twisters.

MUST be read out loud for full effect. What a way with language! And many opportunities to trip over your tongue.

AWESOME! This would be such a delight to read if I had someone young enough to be interested. It would really take a reader who pays attention.
And a young-in would certainly delight to the words and sounds.
SPOILER: the last page:
And the people there still prattle -- there is lots of tittle tattle--
for the glory in the story, young and old folk, gold and gray,
of how wicked treble Abel tripled trouble with his pebble,
but how Mabel (and some others) saved her brother and the day.
