such poignant emotion and keen political musings captured in satrapi’s simple yet incredibly expressive illustrations. second time reading and each time everything slows down. it just makes you reflect on what it means to be human, how the systems at play manipulate us, and the world overall.
going to buy a copy very soon - incredibly excellent work. a classic and an absolute favorite.

This book taught me about a part of the world I know little about. It, also, gave me a history lesson from an insider’s point-of-view. The animation gave some relief to the heavy topics. This was my first time reading an adult graphic novel. This art form brings lightheartedness to the reader.
