While it's obvious he'll make the right decisions in the end, it really is sort of awful having to watch him come so close to making bad decisions because he thirsts for power--even if it's for the right reasons.

I love Qibli's personality for the most part (especially his insistence on being besties with Winter) and I love how smart and quick thinking he is. I love being able to revisit some familiar characters in the Sand Kingdom with him, too.

If I have any complaints about this book, it would just be that it felt long compared to the others (which, of course, it is). It felt like the majority of the plot happened in this one book. That said, all of the drama and terror of the ending few chapters made the stakes feel very high (honestly, they've felt very high the whole series) and the payoff seemed so earned.
